Introduction

My name is Hassan Voyeau. I am a techie living in Trinidad with a good amount of experience and passion for tech.

Expectations

This is a grassroots effort so to speak. The idea is to show that it (a SLD for local devs) can be done and that it can make a difference. You can now sign up for your own .devs.tt domain name for free. TTNIC has graciously waived the cost of the .devs.tt SLD (second level domain or 2LD) for this purpose.

The plan

1. Advertise the effort and create a mailing list through a sign up form of all interested local developers. (End of 2024)

2. Create the first subdomain for myself (https://hassan.devs.tt/) and show that the free tier of serverspace.io can work for managing subdomains. (Sept 2024)

3. Create subdomains for a handful (about 10) of other developers from those who signed up as interested. (Beginning of 2025 or earlier)

4. Create a page that lists those developers. (2025 or earlier)

5. Evaluate and ask for feedback and create a new plan for the future of devs.tt (May 2025)
